I have always rescued and cared for animals. That being said, research should be done to ensure you are in fact recusing instead of enabling. Sadly, there are a large number of “rescues” who purchase dogs and puppies from puppy mills and label them rescues with the donation money that comes from the public. If you are purchasing from a producer, selling said dog, you’re a flipper, supporting a cruel cycle. Sadly, this enables these producers and they keep breeding.  

Majority of Cavaliers in rescue are not because of an owner passing. Reputable breeders have a contract that ensures dogs go back to them. A loved dog in the hands of elderly, will have a place to go! C’mon people, we must think! A rescue should always tell you where the dog came from and if they won’t then this is a red flag, walk away.  There are some good rescues out there that have guidelines such as not purchasing a rescue…ahhh, makes sense to support that, doesn’t it! This page will continue to grow as I research some of these rescues. We will expose false rescues and active puppy mills in an effort to educate the public.
